Obituary for Julia K. Farnsworth (Kuziak)

EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Julia K. Farnsworth, 100, of East Liverpool passed away on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at Calcutta Health Care with her family by her side.

Julia was born in Middleburg, Ohio on March 6, 1921 a daughter of the late Dennis and Helen (Chowka) Kuziak. She was the valedictorian of Bergholz High School class of 1939. Julia was a homemaker and also worked as a manager of special activities accounts for East Liverpool City Schools. She also worked as a machinist at Patterson Foundries during WW II and for a period of time afterward. Julia was raised as a Russian Orthodox but later became a member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church. She loved quilting and working crossword puzzles. Her favorite quote was “Put it in the good Lord’s Hands”.

Preceding Julia in death were her husband Robert Farnsworth; grandson Bradley Farnsworth; three brothers Basil, Michael and John Kuziak and four sisters Mary Lang, Eva Rasic, Anna Gall and Sophia Kuziak.

Left to cherish her memory are two sons Robert Farnsworth and his companion Lori Grayson of Irvine, CA and Brian Farnsworth and his fiancée Vicky Kolkowski of East Liverpool; three grandchildren Brittany Savell and her husband Jason of Apollo Beach, FL, Kendall Wagner and her husband Martin of Aliso Viejo, CA and Caitlin Szymanski and her husband Stephan of Bluffton, SC; great granddaughter Sierra Szymanski of Bluffton, SC and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Friday where the family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m. Pastor Eric Edwards of St. John Lutheran Church will conduct a service at the Funeral Home Saturday at 11:30 a.m. Burial at Riverview Cemetery. In compliance with Ohio state regulations with concerns of the COVID-19 virus masks must be worn at all times in the funeral home.
