Obituary for Karen A. Tresler (House)
EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Karen A. Tresler, 70, of East Liverpool passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 at East Liverpool City Hospital.
Karen was born in Chester, WV on June 5, 1949 a daughter of the late Edward and Virginia B. (Ross) House, Sr. She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1967. Early in life Karen worked as a hairdresser with her mother at the former Looks and Locks Beauty Salon which they owned and operated together. She was a member of the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir for 18 years. Karen enjoyed her time with the Glenmoor Girls and Thursday Lunch Bunch.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, whom she married July 7, 1967, Rod Tresler; two daughters Kim Wolfe and her husband Alan of Lisbon, OH and Faith Kirtley and her husband Casey of Twinsburg, OH; four grandchildren Storm Tresler of Boardman, OH, Kyle Kirtley of Twinsburg, OH, Ian Kirtley of Twinsburg, OH and Corinne Kirtley of Twinsburg, OH; two brothers Edward House, Jr and his wife Diane of East Liverpool and Randy House and his wife Sue of East Liverpool and best friend Connie Anderson of East Liverpool.
Friends may visit Monday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Dr. Vel Vais will conduct a funeral service Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in Karen’s name may be directed to Glenmoor Presbyterian Church, 16410 State Route 267, East Liverpool, OH 43920.
