Obituary for Katelyn Marie Gorby
Wellsville, Ohio- Katelyn Marie Gorby, 31, of Willow Lane passed away Monday evening, August 22nd, 2022, at 4:50 p.m. at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 27th, 1991, she is the daughter of Daisy Davidson and her husband Rick of Wellsville, Ohio and Edward Gorby of Bloomingdale, Ohio.
She was a lifetime area resident and loved attending the Living Well Church. She was a graduate of the Robert Bycroft School and then attended EDI in Lisbon, Ohio.
Besides her parents, she is also survived by a sister, Peyton Rachelle Davidson of Wellsville; and two step siblings, Lindsay Gorby of Jewett, Ohio and Ryan Gorby of Wintersville, Ohio.
In addition, she leaves behind her paternal grandparents, Butch and Kay Gorby of Bloomingdale, Ohio; her paternal step-grandparents, Cork and Sue Davidson; and her paternal great-grandfather, Jess Hill of Toronto, Ohio.
Katelyn was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Helen Hornbeck.
Friends may visit the family on Thursday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio. Pastor Dirk Hall of The Living Well Church will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in SpringHill Cemetery in Wellsville, Ohio.
The family would like to thank Community Hospice and nurse Bernie, the staff at EDI, nurse Sue Reynolds and SSA Diana Delposen, and the staff at East Liverpool City Hospital and Dr. Erin Genova.
