BOARDMAN, OHIO – Kay E. Cilone, 71, of Canfield formerly of East Liverpool went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman surrounded by her family after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Kay was born in Wheeling, WV on April 22, 1951 a daughter of the late Mark and Jeanette (Hamilton) Murphy. She was a 1969 Graduate of Wellsburg High School. Kay worked as an administrator for the Rescue Mission in East Liverpool. She also operated daycare out of her home to have the opportunity to care for her grandson. She also helped her son in many areas at Calcutta Health Care Center. She loved spending time with her family. As a pastor’s wife for over 40 years, Kay devoted her life to serving the Lord dedicating her time to many activities at the church. Kay was a member of the Heights Church for over 40 years and the last three years she attended Old North Church in Canfield. Kay also served on the board of directors at the Heartbeat of Columbiana County, where she was actively involved for many years.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, whom she married January 3, 1970, Joe Cilone; two sons Joe Cilone, Jr. and his wife Stephanie of Canfield, OH and Matt Cilone and his wife Stacey of East Liverpool, OH; two grandchildren, whom her world revolved around, Sydney Call of East Liverpool, OH and Joey “Joe Bug” Cilone and his wife Jocelyn of Boardman, OH; great granddaughter, who referred to her as “Me”, Paulina Cilone of Boardman, OH and one great granddaughter on the way; sister Shari Coote and her husband Richard of Little Rock, AR and brother Mark Murphy and his wife Anne of Lenoir City, TN.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Sunday where the family will be present from 1 to 6 p.m. Pastor Larry Rose of Northside Community Church will conduct a service at the Funeral Home on Monday at 11 a.m. Burial at Riverview Cemetery.
Following the service, friends and family will gather at The Heights Church for a time of fellowship.
