Obituary for Kelly Davis
Lisbon, Ohio- Kelly Lee Davis, 54, of Cream Ridge Road passed away Sunday, March 7th, 2021 at 10:14 p.m. at the Mercy Health System in Youngstown, Ohio following a brief illness.
Born September 5th, 1966 she was a daughter of the late Sharon Davis VanVorhis. She grew up in Columbus, Ohio and moved to this area in 2000. She was a homemaker. Because she always wore a cowboy hat and boots, many of her friends called her “Cowgirl Kelly”. She enjoyed gardening, working outside, fishing and camping. Above all else, she truly loved her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Robert M. Davis, whom she married June 2nd, 1992, at home. There are two daughters, Jamie L. Davis of Lisbon, Ohio and Jackie R. Davis of Lisbon, Ohio; and two sons, Justin D. Davis of Lisbon, Ohio and Randy VanVorhis of Columbus, Ohio.
She leaves behind three grandchildren, Ashton L. VanVorhis, Gabriella R. Piatt and Brinley L. Piatt; two brothers, Richard VanVorhis of Unity, Ohio and Randy VanVorhis and his wife, Heather of Columbus, Ohio; her father-in-law, Milton Davis of Mesquite, Nevada, her step father-in-law, John Ruble of Calcutta, Ohio; and her aunt, Janet Duitch of North Canton, Ohio.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Davis.
Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 1:00 to 3:00 and from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Pastor Norm Eckert of the Beechwood Free Methodist Church will officiate a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Everyone attending the visitation and service will be required to wear a mask and observe social distancing due to the COVID-19 virus.
