Kelly Lynn DeSarro, 54

EAST LIVERPOOL - Kelly Lynn DeSarro of Kingsridge Drive, passed away Friday evening, February 19, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at home following an illness of several years. She was 54.

Born in East Liverpool, September 21, 1961, she was a daughter of William J. and Karen F. DeSarro. She lived most of her life in East Liverpool where she was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1979. A member of Holy Trinity Parish, she most recently worked in the office at McKinney’s Furniture in Monaca.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by a daughter, Kala Rae Smith and her fiancé, Brian Butler, of Dallas, and a granddaughter, Alivia Grace Butler. Her sister survives, Holly Simpson (Kevin) of Biloxi, Mississippi, along with two brothers, Scott DeSarro (Sherry) and Todd DeSarro (Leslie), all of Calcutta.

She is also survived by her maternal grandfather, Everett Anderson of East Liverpool, as well as three aunts, Jean James of Gadsden, Alabama, Jody Ferry (Jim) of Greensville, Pennsylvania, and Jo Hobbs (Cy) of Chester, and several nieces and nephews including a great-niece Gianna Marie DeSarro.

She will also be sadly missed by her special friends: Debbie McKinney (Rick), Faye Vantilburg, Kim Loker, Mary Ash and Barb Yanni. She also leaves her dog Sasha.

Preceding her in death were two nieces, Paige DeSarro and Amanda DeSarro, an aunt Beverly DeSarro Ward, paternal grandparents John and Eileen DeSarro, and a maternal grandmother Helen Anderson.

Friends may visit Monday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Fr. Melvin Rusnak will conduct a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius Church.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
