Larry F. Long, Sr., 75
EAST LIVERPOOL – Larry F. Long, Sr., of East Liverpool, passed away Monday evening, March 27, 2023, at his home while surrounded by his loving family. He was 75.
Born in Lexington, Kentucky, February 15, 1948, he was a son of the late Jesse Long, Sr. and Mary Robinson Long. A member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1966, he worked at Ergon until his retirement after 27 years of service. Above all things in life, Larry loved and adored his family.
He is survived by his wife, Jackie Mobley Long, at home. The couple married April 6, 1968. There are four children: a daughter, Monica Sue Long of St. Paul, Minnesota, and three sons, Larry F. Long, Jr. and his wife, Heather, of Arlington, Texas, Aric Long and his wife, Christy, of Erwin, Tennessee, and Shawn Long and his wife, Jesse, of East Liverpool. He will also be fondly remembered by his ten grandchildren: Shae, Aaron, Bryar, Jalen, Isaac, Alexis, Thoren, Seth, Meya and Koi, and one great-grandchild, Lili.
He also leaves four sisters, Tillie Pullie, Imogene Wilson, Sarah Long, and Valarie Long, as well as a brother, Anthony Long.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jesse Long, Jr.
Private family services were conducted at the Dawson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 1st, from noon to 4:00 p.m. at the Gathering Place on 49410 McCoy Avenue. The family requests no flowers.
