Mrs. LaVerne J. Rose Krafft, 86

FT. WAYNE, IN – LaVerne J. Rose Krafft, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, formerly of Wellsville, met her Savior after passing away peacefully on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Golden Years Homestead in Ft. Wayne, IN. She was 86.

Born in East Liverpool, August 29, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Edward P. and Beulah Verna Murray Rose. After graduating from Wellsville High School in 1948, she was employed as a bookkeeper for the former H.K. Porter Brickyard. While living in Wellsville, she was a member of the Wellsville First Free Methodist Church and later at the First Church of the Nazarene in East Liverpool.

LaVerne was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, loving all with a true servant’s heart. Through her life, she had a passion for baking, painting ceramics, tending to her flower garden, gospel music, and investing in her family. She will be missed by the many lives she blessed over the years.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert S. Krafft, on April 24, 2005 and a brother, Harry Rose.

A son survives, Scott Krafft and his wife, Beverly (Briya), of Ft. Wayne, as well as four grandchildren: Amanda (Krafft) and her husband, Zachary Chaney of Spring Lake, NC; Andrew Krafft and his wife, Katie (Holthouse) of Charlotte, NC; Aaron Krafft and his wife, Mariah (Wyall) of Lafayette, IN; and Anna Krafft of Ft. Wayne, IN.

Also left to cherish her memory is a sister Carolyn Wolfe of East Liverpool and many beautiful nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit Monday evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m. Rev. Rick Campbell will conduct a funeral service Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
