Obituary for Lawrence M. "Larry" Barnhart
CANTON, OHIO – Lawrence M. “Larry” Barnhart, 89, of Homeworth, Ohio passed away Monday, September 23, 2019 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton.
Larry was born in East Liverpool on June 3, 1930 a son of the late Martin V. and Ann (Rigby) Barnhart. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Larry retired in 1991 after 34 years of service from J & L Steel where he was a floor manager and helped write training manuals. He was a member of Middle Sandy Presbyterian Church where he helped as a groundskeeper.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife M. Muriel Barnhart; son Greg M. Barnhart and two sisters Alice Ann Lamping and Julie Jo Barnhart.
Left to cherish his memory are his grandsons Zachary Barnhart of Massillon, OH and Jacob Barnhart and his wife Ashley of Homeworth, OH and two great grandchildren Lauren and Jacob Barnhart of Homeworth, OH.
A private service was held at Riverview Cemetery where Tri Sate Veterans Burial Group provided military honors. Arrangements entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home.
