Obituary for Jean Johnston
Jean Johnston, 74
EAST LIVERPOOL – Leanna Jean “Mean Jean” Johnston, of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Friday morning, February 7, 2020 at the East Liverpool City Hospital. She was 74.
Born in East Liverpool, March 27, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Robert J. and Ila Finney Johnston. She was a driver for Buckeye Floral and had previously worked at the former Anchor Hocking China Company. A member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, she was an honorary member of the Area Seniors and also held membership at the Moose Lodge #122.
She is survived by two sisters, Margaret Matheny and her husband, Joseph, of Arizona, and Jane Wilson and her husband, Bill, of Chester. There are five nieces and nephews: Chris Johnston and his wife, Amy, of Newell, Matt Johnston and his wife, Stacy, of New Waterford, and Jodye Fuller, David Matheny and Dottie Vanda, all of Arizona.
Friends may visit Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery.
