Obituary for Linda S. Metrovich (Foreman)

EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Linda Sue (Foreman) Metrovich was a beloved great grandmother, grandmother, mother, and wife during her incredible 79 years of life. Linda passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 22, 2023 in her home in Calcutta, Ohio.

Linda was born on July 31, 1943, to Belva Mae Shallcross Foreman and Vincent Armor Foreman in Calcutta, Ohio, and lived in this area her entire life.

Linda graduated from Beaver Local High School in 1961. She went on to earn her cosmetology license in 1973, running her own salon for many years.

In July 1961, Linda married the love of her life, with whom she is now reunited, the late Paul Metrovich. Paul and Linda went on to have three children, Nanette (Nina) Sue Sullivan; husband Ray Sullivan, Lisa Ann McNicol; companion Charles Bosco, and Paul Alex Metrovich; fiancée Katie New.

Linda was also a loving grandmother, dedicated to her family, and is survived by her four beloved grandchildren: Andrea (Jeff) May, Katie (Josh) Booth, Drew McNicol and partner, Kyle, and Marisa (Ethan) Dawson, along with eight great grandchildren: Hunter Novak, Keely Booth, Finnegan May, Mila Dawson, Milo Booth, Leo Dawson, Max Booth, and Glenn Dawson.

She also leaves behind three sisters; Karen “Kay” Rowley, Janet Pfiller, and Debbie Hunter.

Linda was also involved in community organizations volunteering her time with the West Point and Calcutta Lions Club. She was also a long time poll worker on election day and was a member of the East Liverpool Garden Club.

Linda travelled the world with the Lions Club. She also enjoyed regular trips with her family to the beach and Disney World.

Our family would like to send a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice and Jackie Altman for the love and care they shared with our family and with Linda.

Friends may visit Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 3 to 7 p.m. Pastor Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct a funeral service Saturday 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
