Obituary for Linda Lee Payne (Quick)

Linda Lee Payne, 71

WELLSVILLE – Linda Lee Payne, of Wellsville, passed away Sunday, September 8, 2019 at Allegheny General Hospital following a brief illness. She was 71.

Born in East Liverpool, December 18, 1947, she was a daughter of the late John H. and Ruth L. Brewer Quick. She lived in this area most of her life and spent 20 years in Kissimmee, Florida where she was a manager at Walt Disney World Resorts. While in this area, Linda worked at Homer Laughlin China Company for over 15 years. Catholic by faith, she was an avid reader and loved her family, music and all her animals.

Her husband, George Michael “Mike” Payne, survives at home. The couple married October 1, 1966. She is also survived by her five children: two daughters, Michelle Raybuck and her husband, Jay, of Wellsville, and Melissa Klein of Wellsville, and three sons, Michael Payne of Enola, Pennsylvania, Matthew Payne (Elizabeth) of Spring Hill, Tennessee, and Mark Payne and his wife, Shana, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee. There are 16 grandchildren: Steven Raybuck, Joshua Raybuck, and his wife, Sara, Tyler Raybuck, Chase Klein (Seirriah), Connor Klein (Abbigail), Carly Klein, Michael Payne, Rachael Payne, Draven Payne (Sherry Payne, mother of Draven Payne) Dylan Wise, Jessica Payne, Justin Payne and his wife, Abbie, Jason Payne, Jacob Payne, Brandon Payne, and Amanda Wnek; and five great-grandchildren: Jaxson Raybuck, Cambria Raybuck, Gracelyn Smith, Kalayah Klein and Camden Nault.

A sister survives as well, Jeanne Densmore and her husband, Thomas, of Greeneville, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a son-in-law, J. Keith Klein, Jr., along with a cousin who was raised with her, Thomas Hampson.

Fr. Scott Kopp will conduct a funeral service at the Dawson Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Friends may visit 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Immediately following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
