Obituary for Ruth Croxall

Ruth Croxall, 94

EAST LIVERPOOL – Margaret Ruth Croxall, of East Liverpool, passed away Monday morning, February 3, 2020 at The Inn at Poland Way. She was 94.

Born in East Liverpool, December 2, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Charles William and Mary Perks Sillince. She was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1943. A resident of this area all her life, for 37 years she worked as an operator and supervisor for the former Ohio Bell. She was a member of the AT&T Pioneers and Communications Workers of America. An avid Steelers fan, she loved to play bingo. She was a member of the St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in East Liverpool where she had been active with the annual Harvest Festival.

She is survived by a daughter, Deborah A. Croxall (Ginny Lawson) of Leetonia, and a son, Jack Croxall, Jr. (Gwen) of East Liverpool, as well as five grandchildren, Jack Andrew Croxall (Stephanie), Josh Croxall (Ali), Travis Croxall, Tyler Croxall and Jordan Hissom (Josh), as well as four great-grandchildren: Andrew, Tori, Layla and Devon Croxall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Gwendolyn M. “Gwen” Hales, and three brothers, Edmund Sillince, William Sillince and Guy Sillince.

The Rev. J. Jeffrey Baker will conduct a funeral service Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
