Obituary for Marjorie June Cupp (Smith)
East Liverpool, Ohio- Marjorie June Shields Cupp, 91, of Croft Street passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 1:15 a.m. at the Calcutta Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.
Born June 14, 1929 in Wellsville, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Kirby and Edith Petty Smith. She spent her lifetime in this area retiring from Mountaineer Racetrack & Gaming Casino where she had worked in their Maintenance, Laundry and Housekeeping departments.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Cupp on October 22, 2004.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Hancock and her husband, Ralph of Lisbon, Ohio: and one son, Tom Shields of East Liverpool, Ohio. There are many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was also preceded in death by two daughters, Cathy Pickens and Darla Vaughn; one son, Terry Shields; three sisters, Della Whitaker, Norma Woody and Alice Barnes; and one brother, Ted Smith.
A private family service was held at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio.
Burial will be in Calcutta Cemetery.
