Obituary for Marjorie D Ludwig (Revelant)

Longtime local realtor Marjorie D. “Marge” Revelant Ludwig passed away following a lengthy illness at 11:58 p.m. Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at East Liverpool City Hospital. She now joins her husband, Bob, daughter Cindi, and other loved ones who were waiting for her in Heaven.

She was born a daughter of the late Olinto and Elvera Tonizzo Revelant on July 25, 1932, in New Brighton, PA. Raised in Newell, Marge was a 1950 graduate of the former Wells High School, where she had been a majorette. As a young girl, she waitressed at the Traveler’s Hotel, and had worked at Patterson Foundry; later in her life, she had been the Food Coordinator for East Liverpool City Schools. But she was most proud of becoming a licensed real estate broker in 1977, and had owned Ludwig Realty for many years.

She had made East Liverpool her home since her marriage on July 31, 1954 to Robert L. “Bob” Ludwig, who preceded her in death on August 26, 1998.

A member of St. Aloysius Church at Holy Trinity Parish, Marge had also belonged to the VFW Post #66 and Junior Women’s Club at one time. She loved traveling to the ocean, going dancing with her husband, camping with her kids and grandkids, and working in the yard – but was happiest when surrounded by her loving family.

Surviving are her two children: Saundra “Sandy” Howard and her husband, Perry, and Robert D. “Bobby” Ludwig and his wife, Lori, all of East Liverpool. Marge was also preceded in death on May 25, 2013 by a daughter, Cynthia “Cindi” Hilditch.

She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Jim Crumbley, Erica Baker, Allana Baker, Nathan Howard, Devon Ludwig and his wife, Jessica, and Samantha Ramsey and her husband, Ian. There are five great-grandchildren: James Bartolovich, Ashton Baker, Brody and Donovan Ludwig, Sebastian Sly, and another one expected in December.

A sister, Norma Fiillo Berry of Glendale, CA, also survives, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Robert Louis Revelant and Danny Fillo, also preceded her.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Friday, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Father Peter Haladej of the church will preside at Catholic Funeral Rites to be held at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Marge will be laid to rest beside her husband at Riverview Cemetery, followed by a continued time of fellowship at the Dawson Family Center.
