Obituary for Mary Louise Morrison (Bahen)

Mary Louise Morrison, of Erie Street in East Liverpool, passed away peacefully at the age of 84 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh on Friday evening, February 17, 2017. She was surrounded at the time of her death by her loving family.

A daughter of the late David M. and Agnes Maloney Bahen, Mary was born in East Liverpool on September 10, 1932. She had attended East Liverpool schools and was a hard worker from the time she was a young girl. For many years, she had worked in housekeeping at the former Waterford Inn, and had been doing janitorial work at the Beaver Valley Mall since 1992, retiring only recently. In her spare time, she loved playing Bingo.

Mary was a lifelong East End resident and had been a member of St. Ann Church. She later attended Holy Trinity Parish at St. Aloysius Church. Her faith sustained her during the most difficult times of her life.

On June 2, 1954, she married James Carl Morrison, who preceded her in death on March 2, 1984.

She is survived by two daughters, Janet Jackson of Midland, and Julie Morrison, with whom she resided, along with two sons, Frank Morrison of Newell, and Tom Morrison and his companion, Lola Stewart, of Bucyrus, OH. Mary was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra A. Morrison, on October 9, 2009, and by her son, James Patrick Morrison, who died on July 29, 2015.

There are ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, as well as a sister, Margaret Brown and her husband, Earl, of East Liverpool. She was preceded by two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mary was also preceded in death by a sister, Isabelle Howell, and by three brothers, Lawrence H. Madden, David Bahen and Joseph Bahen.

The family will be present to receive friends at the Dawson Funeral Home Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Rev. Ernest Peachey will officiate at a service to be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Burial will take place at Columbiana County Memorial Park, followed by a continued time of fellowship at the Dawson Family Center.
