EAST LIVERPOOL – May A. Kinemond, of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 82.
Born July 22, 1938, she was daughter of the late Dewey and May Workman Cosgrove. A resident of this area all her life, she was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1956. She earned her nursing degree from the East Liverpool City Hospital Nursing School and worked as a registered nurse for many years until her retirement. She continued her education at Kent State University where she earned her education degree and taught school at LaCroft Elementary. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she taught Sunday school at one time.
She is survived by her children: a daughter, Karen Mackey at home, and three sons, Jeff Kinemond of Lisbon, Mark Kinemond and his wife, Kelly, of Salineville, and Jared Kinemond and his wife, Samantha, of East Liverpool. There are ten grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a sister, Dorothy Spriggs of Hanoverton, and a brother, Dewey Cosgrove and his wife, Sharon, of Alabama.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Fred Cosgrove.
Friends may visit Thursday afternoon and evening from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 at the Dawson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery.
