Obituary for Michael S. Karcher

Michael S. Karcher, 66

EAST LIVERPOOL – Michael S. Karcher, of East Liverpool, passed away Monday, July 22, 2019 at the East Liverpool City Hospital. He was 66.

Born in East Liverpool, May 30, 1953, he was a son of the late Charles H. and Betty Langdon Karcher. A lifetime area resident, he was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

For 25 years, Mike worked at the former Penn Power in Shippingport. He also owned and operated the Bass Shack in East End for several years. A member of the First Free Methodist Church, he was also a member of the East Liverpool Lodge 315 of the Free and Accepted Masons. Mike was also active with the East Liverpool Jaycees at one time.

He is survived by his son, Kyle Karcher of Buckingham, Virginia, and a step-son, Jason Arcuragi and his wife, Elizabeth, of Cincinnati. He also leaves a brother, Charles Karcher and his wife, Sue, of East Liverpool.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, James Charles Karcher.

Rev. Norman Eckert of the Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct a funeral service at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit at the funeral home Thursday where the family will be present from 4 to 7 p.m.
