Obituary for Michael A. Ross

Michael A. Ross, 70

EAST LIVERPOOL – Michael A. Ross, of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly Friday morning, March 20, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Youngstown. He was 70.

Born in East Liverpool, August 6, 1949, he was a son of the late Joseph W. and Margaret L. “Peg” Lyle Ross. A resident of this area all his life, he was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1967. For 30 years he worked at Homer Laughlin China Company. Previously, he worked at the former Swank Refractories Brickyard. A member of Holy Trinity Parish, he enjoyed watching old Western movies, playing pool and roller skating. At one time he was very active with the East Liverpool High School Band Boosters.

He is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart, Alice Ann Connelly Ross, at home. The couple married April 17, 1971. A daughter survives, Christina Webber and her husband, Cole, of Salem, Ohio, as well as four grandchildren: Kaitlyn “Katie” McCrea and her husband, Chayse, Travis Smith, Mason Webber and Chloe Webber. There are two sisters, Patricia Honaker and her husband, Tim, of East Liverpool, and Carolyn Curcio of Arizona.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Michelle Ross, and a brother, George J. Ross.
