MOLLIE CHARLOTTA CRAIG, 85

EAST LIVERPOOL – East Liverpool Road resident Mollie Charlotta Weekley Craig, 85, passed away at 7:46 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Salem Community Hospital.

She was born at home in Chester, WV on March 16, 1930, a daughter of the late Frank and Bessie Cisco Weekley. A 1947 graduate of Wellsville High School, she then worked at the former Sterling China Company. Later in life, she had also worked at the former Foodland.

On April 15, 1951, she married James C. “Jim” Craig, and was a devoted homemaker, raising their two children and enjoying life with them. Jim preceded her in death on October 24, 2011.

Mollie was a member of the First Christian Church in Chester.

She is survived by her son, James C. Craig II and his wife, Candy, of East Liverpool. A daughter, Christy Craig, passed away on January 27, 2005.

Also surviving are two grandchildren: James C. Craig III of East Liverpool, and Melissa Yanni, and her husband Jayson, of Washington State, along with 3 great-grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death was a brother, Kenneth E. Weekley.

Private family services were held at the Dawson Funeral Home. Mollie was laid to rest at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
