EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Myrle M. Martin, 82, of East Liverpool passed away Sunday, February 28, 2021 at East Liverpool City Hospital.
Myrle was born in Dungannon, Ohio on March 4, 1938 a daughter of the late Raymond A. and Virginia E. (Wines) Virden, Sr. She attended Hope Christian Fellowship and was a follower of Christ following him in believer’s baptism. Myrle loved boating and camping. She also enjoyed farming, canning, crocheting, sewing and doing word searches.
Preceding Myrle in death were her husband Joseph Martin; companion Jack Havice; granddaughter Jennifer Hurd; four sisters Julia Taubert, Edith Flannigan, Dorothy McKinney and Ethel LaNeve and two brothers Raymond A. Virden, Jr. and Curtis L. Virden.
Left to cherish her memory are her three sons Michael Martin and his wife Cindy of East Liverpool, Dewayne Martin and his wife Terri of Wellsville and Gregory Martin and his wife Lisa of Rogers; nine grandchildren Joe Martin of Pittsburgh, PA, Ryan Martin of Kentucky, Bryan Martin of East Liverpool, Courtney Davis of Chesapeake, VA, Kelly Dalrymple of Wellsville, Dustin Martin of Rogers, Marissa Hughes of East Liverpool, Jayson Bardon of Columbiana and Josh Bardon of East Liverpool; 15 great grandchildren; three sisters Virginia Cochran of Waterford, OH, Carol Sue Williams of East Palestine and Jean Thompson of Washington and three brothers G. Richard Virden and his wife Betty of North Carolina, David A. Virden and his wife Alice of East Liverpool and Gary W. Virden of Akron, OH.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday where the family will be present from 3 to 7 p.m. Pastor Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct a service at the Funeral Home Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park. In compliance with Ohio state regulations with concerns of the COVID-19 virus masks must be worn at all times in the funeral home.
