East Liverpool, Ohio- Nancy Jane Locke, 82, of Manor Lane passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 6:50 p.m. at the St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center in Columbiana, Ohio following a lengthy illness.
Born February 22, 1938 in Weirton, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Gerald and Mary Butcher Fowler. She spent the majority of her life living in this area. A retired teacher and guidance counselor working for the East Liverpool City School System, she was a member of the Christian Assembly Church in Ohioville, Pennsylvania. A longtime church choir member, she enjoyed being active in church activities. She started the church volleyball league. She also sang for many years in the Community Choir and she loved to dance.
A graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1955, she then received her education degree from Kent State University. Later, she received her counseling degree from Youngstown State University.
Survivors include two loving daughters, Julie Kidd and her husband, Craig of East Liverpool and Luanne Adkins and her husband, Jerry of Lakeland, Florida. There are two grandsons, Justin Boyd and Isaac Adkins; and one great-grandson, Jhett Boyd.
In addition, she leaves behind one sister, Carol McQuade of Clearwater, Florida.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Betty Dear; and by four brothers, Milton Fowler, Robert Graham, Timothy Graham, David Graham; and her two husbands, William Robinson and Wayne Locke.
In compliance with Ohio State regulations with concerns of the COVID-19 virus, a private family service will be held graveside at Riverview Cemetery with Pastor William Anzevino officiating.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio.
