Nancy Reed

ELKRUN TWP – On June 9, 2020 our beloved Nancy Reed passed away of natural causes at home, surrounded by her family.

Born Nancy Lee Kell on February 18, 1937 in Chester, West Virginia to the late Charles Jacob Kell and Margaret “Maggie” Ida Newman Kell, Nancy was also raised by her stepfather, the late John Wise of Alliance, Ohio.

Nancy married King Ard Reed on September 13, 1952 in Wellsville, Ohio. They raised their family in the Substation neighborhood of East Liverpool, Ohio and later moved to their family farm in Elkton, Ohio.

Nancy was a devoted wife and mother who was loved by all that she came into contact with. She was a devout member of the Lisbon congregation of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served in numerous positions such as Librarian, Seminary Teacher, and Family History Specialist.

Nancy was preceded in death by her son Frederick Alan Reed and her daughter Linda Kay Reed. Her other children are Sherri Ann Paynter (John), Paula Renae Wilkinson (Tim), and Anna Margaret Worth (Bryan).

Nancy and King have 42 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A family service was conducted at the Reed Farm where she was laid to rest at the Reed Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Community Hospice for their comforting care.
