Obituary for Neva I. Saltzman (Pugh)

Neva I. Pugh Saltzman, 76

CLEVELAND – Neva I. Pugh Saltzman of Spring Valley Road in Salineville, formerly of East Liverpool, passed away early Friday morning, December 1, 2017, at the Cleveland Clinic following a lengthy illness. She was 76.

Born in Hacker Valley, West Virginia, September 20, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Argel Pugh and Virginia Davis Pugh Douglas. Neva worked as a home health care aid, sold Avon products, and worked at the Valley View Department store in Brookefield Ohio for many years. Neva was also a member of the Southern Hills Church of Christ in Highlandtown.

She is survived by her husband, Allen D. Saltzman. The couple married on November 19th of 1973.

Other survivors include two daughters, Patsy Price of East Liverpool and Sonja Saltzman of Salineville; and a son Terry Cogar, and his wife Portia, of Calcutta. There are nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Neva was preceded by two daughters, Pamela Cogar and Vickie Matheson, a brother Dallas Pugh, an infant sister Norma Pugh, and her step-father Charles Douglas.

Pastor Terry Weyand of the Avondale Baptist Church will conduct a funeral service Tuesday at 12 noon at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Highlandtown Cemetery.
