Obituary for Nicki Simms
MINERVA, OH – Nicole Laverne “Nikki” Simms, of Minerva, formerly of Lisbon, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022, at her residence following a brief illness. She was 48.
Born in East Liverpool, December 28, 1973, she was a daughter of Karen Ann Shields Hancock of Lisbon and the late William R. Simms, Sr.. A homemaker, she attended Beaver Local High School and lived in this area all her life.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by a daughter, Amber Nicole Hays of Lisbon, and two sons, Mykel Simms of Lisbon and William “Bub” Simms and his wife, Stefannie, of East Liverpool, and four grandchildren: Angel, Ember, Blaine and Mason Simms. Also left behind are two sisters, Margie Virden of Elkton and Edith Kelly of Lisbon, and a brother, Bill Simms and his wife, Roxie, of Elkton. Her stepfather survives as well, Ralph Hancock, and two half-sisters, Jessica Snow of Salem, and B.J. Simms of Louisville, OH. Her memory will also be cherished by her companion, Herb Hebron, and his children, Luke, Jordan, Nate, Cameron, and Scarlet. In addition, there is a niece and two nephews surviving, Taylor, Drake and Jake.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a nephew Kevin Green.
Services were private and have been conducted by the Dawson Funeral Home.
