PARIS L. LINKOUS, 92

EAST LIVERPOOL – Paris Lonnie Linkous, 92, of East Liverpool, passed away Thursday evening, March 24, 2016 at The Orchards of East Liverpool. He was born March 4, 1924, the eldest son of Manley and Bertha (Cooper) of Griffithsville, WV.

Paris was a retiree of Crucible Steel of Midland, PA and had been a longtime member of the First Church of the Nazarene in East Liverpool.

He was preceded in death by his son, Danny Lee Linkous and daughter-in-law, Barbara (Shreve) Linkous as well as brothers Lawrence Lee, James Eugene, Mancel Gay, Robert Leo Linkous, a half-brother, Oak Mullins, and a grandson, Eric Smith.

Surviving him is his wife, Georgie Louise (Johnson) Linkous, whom he married on August 25, 1979, as well as a daughter, Carolyn Stoudmire, of Wooster, Ohio. He also leaves behind a grandson, Stacy Linkous (Amanda), a great-grandson, Danny Lee Paris Linkous, and stepsons, Ralph Smith (Penny) of Coshocton, OH, and Denny Smith (Pam) of Hammondsville; stepdaughter Marie Vincent (Kenny) of East Liverpool; grandchildren Wendy, Jason, Joanne, Tonya, Angie and Jenna; and numerous great-grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

Also surviving is a brother, Leonard Linkous of Lexington, NC, and a sister Anna Delores Wade of Dearborn, MI, along with nieces, Vicki Meek (Tommy) of Hurricane, WV, and Karen Potts (David) of Erie, Michigan, and a special nephew Timothy Linkous of Lexington, NC..

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Saturday, March 26, 2016, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m.

Services will be conducted at the funeral home at 4 p.m., with Pastor Robert Sylvies of the First Church of the Nazarene and Rev. Willard Chuck Adkins of First Church of Christ (Disciples) Church officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and residents of The Orchards of East Liverpool. Paris appreciated the excellent care, quality time, and the friendship that was shared with him daily.
