PATRICIA A. “PAT” DANLEY GAURON SAUCER, 90

EAST LIVERPOOL – On Friday afternoon, November 3, 2017, Patricia A. “Pat” Danley Gauron Saucer passed away at East Liverpool City Hospital, following a brief illness. A daughter of the late Merrill F. and Margaret K. Bevington Danley, she was born April 1, 1927 in East Liverpool, and remained here for the rest of her life.

She was a 1944 graduate of East Liverpool High School and was proud of her hometown.

A longtime member of First Presbyterian Church (which later became Trinity Presbyterian), she and her first husband, John C. Gauron, were married there on September 27, 1947. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1972. They were the parents of two children: Nancy Ash and her husband, Thomas, and J.D. Gauron and his wife, Susan, all of Columbus.

Pat had worked in the office at the former Knowles China at one time, as well as Ogilvies in downtown East Liverpool. Later in her life, she was an administrative assistant at the J.D. Gauron Insurance Agency office.

In addition to being an active member of the church, where she belonged to the ladies’ guild and the Faith Circle, she was also involved in the Colloquium Club years ago.

Following the death of her first husband, she married Forrest Q. “Foe” Saucer on June 15, 1985; he preceded her in death on November 15, 2004.

Along with her children, Pat leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Megan Ash of Lewis Center, Ohio; John Ash and his wife, Stacey, also of Lewis Center; Kate Gauron of Columbus; Jessica Roush and her husband, Kurtis, of Upper Arlington, Ohio; and Jackie Creamer and her husband, Sean, of Grove City, Ohio. There are six great-grandchildren: Thomas and Matthew Ash, Charlie and Keegan Creamer, and Elliott and Adrian Roush.

Also surviving is a sister, Maralyn Winters, of East Liverpool.

Friends may visit with the family at the Dawson Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday.

Rev. Dr. Steve Cramer of Trinity Presbyterian Church will officiate at a funeral service to be held at the church at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

Pat will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery. Friends and family will then gather at the Dawson Family Center for a continued time of fellowship and lunch.

Contributions in Pat’s memory may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 110 Maine Blvd., E. Liverpool, Ohio 43920.
