Obituary for Pat Walker

East Liverpool, Ohio- Patricia Ann “Pat” Walker, 88, of May Street passed away Friday, January 13th, 2023 at her residence at 2:33 p.m. following a brief illness.

Born in East Liverpool, Ohio on November 23rd, 1934, she was the daughter of the late William Hamilton and the late Millicent Farrell Watkins.

A lifetime area resident, Pat was retired from the Safeway Cab Company. Prior to that she worked for the Ohio Bell Telephone Company, she was the former owner of Lynn Ambulance in East Liverpool, she owned the Tele-Ring Answering Service and owned the former Johnny’s Landing.

She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1952. She was a member of the St. Stephens Episcopal Church in East Liverpool where she belonged to the ECW and was a founder of the Good Shepherd Lunch Program.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Walker, whom she married June 4th, 1955 in 1996. Survivors include one daughter, Lea Rae Adkins and her husband, Troy of East Liverpool; and one son, Troy A. Walker and his wife, Londa of East Liverpool, Ohio. There are eleven grandchildren, Matt Taylor, Emily Taylor, Nikki Adkins, Justin Walker, Brooke Walker, Matt Walker, Tiffany Reed, Sarah Thompson, John Walker, Morgan Gaskill and Kylie Zigler; and twenty-two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Noah, Micah, Isiah, Pressley, Carly, Bristol, Bailey, Kenzie, Kennedy, Chandler, Jace, Milee, Cianna, Ella, Nova, Decklyn, Kiya, Harper, Walker, Saylor and Jules.

In addition, she leaves behind one sister, Sue Cook of Ft. Myers, Florida; two brothers, William Hamilton and his wife, Sharon of Ft. Myers, Florida and Byron Hamilton of Wellsville, Ohio; and two daughters-in-law, Tina Walker and Tammy Walker.

Besides her parents and her husband, Pat was also preceded in death by two sons, Michael J. Walker and J.R. Walker.

A private family visitation was held at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.

The family requests contributions be made to either the St. Stephens Memorial Fund in Pat’s name at 220 West Fourth Street in East Liverpool or to the East Liverpool High School Alumni Association at PO Box 986, East Liverpool, Ohio.
