Obituary for Patricia L. Wines Williams

Patricia L. Wines Williams, 83

SUN CITY CENTER, FL – Patricia L. Wines Williams, of Wimauma, Florida, formerly of East Liverpool and Alliance, passed away Tuesday morning, February 7, 2023 at Florida South Shore Hospital following a lengthy illness. She was 83.

Born in East Liverpool, February 3, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Leonard Earl Wines and Josephine “Jo” Martin Wines. She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School and the Ohio Valley Business College.

As a youth, she was a member of the Girl Scouts. In High School she played the clarinet and was a member of the East Liverpool High School Marching Band. She became a Campfire Counselor for the Campfire Girls while Coni and Sandee were members. She had a career as an office manager where she was steadfast, diligent, reliable and responsible. She wouldn’t have known any other way to be. For a few years she was the President of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) Senior Disciples. She had so many hobbies that filled her life. In her free time, she loved to cook, sew and made beautiful clothes for her children to wear. She loved to visit with family, especially her grandchildren. She loved camping at Bob Boords and especially at Guilford Lake where she spent many summers as a child in the family cabin. She also loved to swim, go bowling, and play cards with family and with her card clubs in Alliance and in Kyle Texas. She loved the ocean and was at such peace sitting on the beach with her toes in the sand and surf. She loved crafting and creating beautiful items to share with everyone. She had so many accomplishments in her life. She was good at anything she did because it was always done with care and love.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James K. Williams, Sr., on April 29, 2005. The couple married May 2nd 1959. Her sister Alma Jean Nortrup. Grandchildren: Joseph Gold, Brent Gold, James “Jimmy” Williams and Nicholas Ferrise; Great-grandchildren: Grayson Rohrer, Mercedes Rohrer and Xander Rohrer.

She is survived by her children: three daughters, Sandra L. Monte and her husband, David, of Minerva, Constance D. Ferrise and her husband, John, of Indiana, and Deborah J. Gold and her husband, Dan, of Wimauma, Florida, and a son, James K. Williams, Jr. and his wife, Krista, of Alliance. She had 14 grandchildren in all, Tiffany (Monte) Rohrer and her husband Scott, Megan (Williams) Harbert and her husband Joshua, Daniel L Monte, Ashley (Williams) Hennis and her husband Kyle, Nathan Ferrise and his wife Katrina, Adam Gold and his wife Kelsea, Kali Williams, Noah Ferrise, Skyler Gold and Caden Williams. She had 8 great-grandchildren, Austin and Riley Harbert, Paxton and Everley Gold, Caroline and Alyssa Hennis and Sophia and Samwise Ferrise. Also surviving is her brother, Robert K. Wines of Calcutta and nephew whom she was exceptionally close to, Timothy A Grafton of Texas.

Pastor Mark Blakeley will conduct a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 20 at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

There will be a reception for family at the Dawson Family Center following the burial, 220 W 5th St.
