Obituary for Pat Curran

Patrick E. Curran, 57

SALEM - Patrick E. Curran, of Salem, passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, following a brief illness at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Youngstown. He was 57.

Born in East Liverpool, June 2, 1964, he was a son of the late Patrick E. Curran and Grace E. Weddle Curran McHenry. He lived most of his life in Salem where he was an auto mechanic and last worked at the former Diamond Auto.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Strobel Curran, at home. The couple married January 1, 2015. There are four children: Nicole Curran and Elizabeth Gwin, both of Salem, and Cassandra Stoneburner and Brandi Stoneburner, both of Maryland, along with six grandchildren.

He is also survived by three sisters, Georgeanna Bailey and her husband, Bo, of East Liverpool, Betty Blystone and her husband, Bill, of East Liverpool, and Judy Sellers and her husband, Joe, of Panama City, Florida.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a sister, Mia Blystone and two brothers, Mick Curran and David Curran.

Rev. Steve Knisely of the First United Methodist Church will conduct a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit three hours prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
