Obituary for Peggy L. McElhaney (Linville)
EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Peggy L. McElhaney, 81, of East Liverpool passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at her home.
Peggy was born in Griffithsville, West Virginia on November 24, 1940 a daughter of the late Creed L. and Lola G. (Stowers) Linville.
Peggy was a member of the Wellsville First Christian Church. She was a loving and kind person that enjoyed taking care of her family and many friends. Peggy was a compassionate person whose door was always open to lend an ear to whomever needed a friend. She was a generous person with her time and never turned away anyone that needed help. Peggy had great sense of humor who loved life and always had a positive outlook. She enjoyed cooking, baking and going shopping with anyone who would go. Her favorite thing to do was talking and playing with her grandkids.
Preceding Peggy in death were her husband Jerald “Butch” McElhaney and sister Glenith Hoppel.
Left to cherish her memory are three daughters Robin (Mark) Litten of St. Augustine, FL, Kathy Hoff (Jeff Callender) of Powell, OH and Jennifer Galanis of East Liverpool; four grandchildren, whom knew her as GiGi, Kaitlyn (Paige) Litten of Salem, MA, Kellyn Litten of Lakewood, OH, Taylor (Matt) Cox of Waldo, OH and Zoë Galanis of East Liverpool; one great-granddaughter Austyn Cox of Waldo, OH; brother Roger (Carole) Linville of East Liverpool and sister Janice Boyle of East Liverpool.
A private service was held by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home.
