EAST LIVERPOOL, OHIO – Richard W. Ulbright, 91, of East Liverpool passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Calcutta Health Care Center.
Richard was born in Newell, West Virginia on May 24, 1930 a son of the late Albert and Hazel (Sittig) Ulbright. He was a graduate of Chester High School class of 1949. Richard worked for 32 years at Crucible Steel until he retired in 1982. He was a member of Campground Community Church. Richard was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the hunting dogs of all different breeds that he raised. Richard loved gardening, camping and going on trips to Myrtle Beach.
Preceding Richard in death was his wife Doris (Gabbert) Ulbright.
Left to cherish his memory are his three daughters Marilyn Kay Stoddard and her husband Denny of Calcutta, Kimberly Prokop and her husband James of Calcutta and Susan Cochran and her husband Ray of Calcutta; son David W. Ulbright and his wife Vonda of Highlandtown; three sisters Betty Adkins and her husband Waldo of Chester, Tooge “Toots” Wetzel of Calcutta and Carolyn Scarsella of Midland Heights, PA; nine grandchildren David Ulbright, Jr. and his wife Rachel of Calcutta, Daniel Ulbright of Calcutta, Denny Stoddard II and his wife Jenna of Wellsville, Holly Norelli and her husband Nick of Edgewater, MD, James Richard Prokop and his significant other Deborah Groves of Edgewater, MD, Tyler Prokop and his significant other Jillian Ferrello of Chicago, IL, Chelsea Frederick and her husband Mark of Calcutta, Hayley Susan McLaughlin and her husband Blake of Calcutta and Hannah Cochran of Calcutta and nine great grandchildren.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Thursday where the family will be present from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pastor Irv Hoover will conduct a service at the Funeral Home Thursday at 2 p.m. Burial will follow at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
