Robert H. “Bo” Boyce, 79

WINSTON-SALEM, NC – Robert H. “Bo” Boyce, formerly of Chester, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at the Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

The son of the late Robert E. and Mary Louise Hallett Boyce, he was born on September 21, 1936, and was a 1955 graduate of Chester High School.

Bo worked for the Harker China Co., Crucible Steel, and John Calvin Fire Protection Equipment Co. before retiring to Winston-Salem, NC. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in East Liverpool.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Popp Boyce on February 17, 1998. They were united in marriage on October 17, 1959.

Surviving are his four daughters: Mickie McIntosh, of Winston-Salem, Mary Louise Goodlin, of Kernersville, NC, Melinda McDougle, of East Liverpool, and Margaret Boyce Merced, of High Point, NC. Bo is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and his sister, Cynthia Sheehan, of Marco Island FL.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Friday, November 27, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Pastor Larry Hukill of the church will conduct services at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 28. Bo will be laid to rest in Riverview Cemetery.
