Obituary for Robert E. "Bob" Craig

Robert E. “Bob” Craig, 62

East Liverpool – Robert E. “Bob” Craig, of Oakwood Street, East Liverpool, passed away Sunday morning, May 3, 2020 at the Salem Regional Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was 62.

Born in East Liverpool, May 27, 1957, he was a son of the late Virginia Mayfield Craig and Robert H. Craig. A lifetime area resident, he was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1975. Bob worked at the Homer Laughlin China Company for 36 years and was a huge Green Bay Packers fan and was a youth sports coach for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Hess Craig, at home. The couple married December 28, 1979. There are two daughters, Ashlee Craig Murphy and her husband, John, of Chester, and Alyssa Rae Coleman of East Liverpool, along with three grandchildren: Zachary, Clayton and Natalee.

He is also survived by three sisters, Ruthann Savina and her husband, Bill, of East Liverpool, Gloria Coulter and her husband, Allen, of Newton, North Carolina and Anita Craig Devlin of East Liverpool, and a brother, Brooks Craig and his wife, Lea, of Hickory, North Carolina. He will also be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael S. Craig.

Friends may visit Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home at a drive thru viewing and are to remain in their vehicles while paying final respects and visiting the family. In compliance with Ohio State regulations with concerns of the COVID-19 virus a private family service will be held at the Dawson Funeral Home.
