Obituary for Robert "Bob" Gott

Robert W. “Bob” Gott, 90

SPRING HILL, FL – Robert W. “Bob” Gott, of Spring Hill, Florida, formerly of East Liverpool, passed away suddenly, Sunday evening, November 22, 2020 at Bayfront Health Spring Hill. He was 90.

Born in Muncie, Indiana, April 11, 1930, he was a son of the late Joshua G. and Mildred Forster Gott. A resident of this area until moving to Florida in 1984, he worked at the former Crucible Steel Company as a supervisor in the Power Division. A member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1948, at one time he attended the former 1st Assembly of God Church in East Liverpool. Bob was a member of the Riddle Lodge 315 of the Free and Accepted Masons, Scottish Rite Valley of Steubenville, and the Al Koran Shrine of Cleveland.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita L. Gott, on February 5, 2017. The couple married July 30, 1969. He was also preceded in death by a stepson, Michael L. Veness and a sister, Helen Emmerling.

He is survived by a son, Paul Robert Gott and his wife, Kristeena, of Port Richey, Florida, a stepdaughter, Cindy Veness of Englewood, Florida, and a stepson, Robert J. Veness of Prairie, Texas. There are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit Sunday, December 6th, at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. where a funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 pm at the funeral home. Masks and social distancing are required.

Burial and graveside service will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park at 9:00 a.m. Monday, December 7th.
