Robert M. “Bob” Noland, 68

OCALA, FL – Robert M. “Bob” Noland, of Ocala, Florida, formerly of Chester and Hanoverton, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015 at his home. He was 68.

Born in St. Marys, West Virginia, April 21, 1947, he was a son of the late A. Robert and Lena Hackathorn Noland. A member of the St. Marys High School Class of 1965, he later attended Ohio Valley University in Parkersburg. He worked at the Quaker State Refinery which later became Shell Oil as shipping and receiving supervisor until retiring in 2007. For many years, he was the evangelist at the Hanoverton Church of Christ until 2014.

He is survived by his wife, Martha L. Cooper Noland, whom he married December 29, 1967. There are three sons: Robert Noland II and his wife, Carla, of Ashland, Ohio, James Noland and his wife, Denise, of New Cumberland, and Bryan Noland and his wife, Melissa, of Wellsville; along with 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Also left behind to cherish his memory are a sister, Mary Wigal and her husband, Larry, of Mineral, West Virginia, and two brothers, Randy E. Noland and his wife, Shari, of Parkersburg, and Phillip Noland of Charleston, West Virginia.

Friends may visit Monday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Evangelist Will Montgomery and Evangelist Buck Groves will conduct a funeral service Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Virginia Avenue Church of Christ. Friends may also visit one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Virginia Avenue Church of Christ Multipurpose Building for a luncheon.
