Obituary for Robert E Talbot Jr.

ROBERT E. TALBOT, JR. 71

LISBON – Robert E. “Bob” Talbot, Jr., 71, passed away surrounded by his family –
and by the assurance that he was loved – at his home on State Route 45 in Lisbon, late Sunday evening, January 24, 2016.

A son of the late Robert E. Talbot, Sr. and Donna Jean Coleman Talbot, he was born in East Liverpool on July 11, 1944. He had spent his lifetime in this area and was a 1963 graduate of East Liverpool High School.

He married his wife, Cathryne “Cathy” Elizabeth Keller Talbot on June 5, 1964; together, they raised their family and took great pride and joy in them. Cathy survives him at home.

Known as a hard worker who loved caring for and giving to others, he also enjoyed building things, working in his garden, being outdoors, camping, listening to Oldies music, photography, bow hunting and archery. His family will miss his little jokes and his witty sense of humor. A member of Northside Community Church, his faith was of great importance to him.

In addition to Cathy, he is survived by his beloved children: Cassie Kindle and her husband, William, of Poland; Robert F. “Bob” Talbot and his wife, Lore, of Groveport, OH; and Brian E. Talbot (and Rebecca Smith) of Salineville.

There are seven grandchildren: Brittany Kindle, William Kindle, Candace Robinson, Kara Brown and her husband, Kevin, Brian Talbot, Jr., Ainsley Talbot and Kiersley Talbot. Five great-grandchildren survive as well: Makayla, Kylee, Ava, Meelah and Sophia.

Bob also leaves behind his siblings: Barbara Beohm and her husband, Ed, of Columbiana; Debbie Pecora and her husband, Charles, of Cocoa, FL; Donald L. Talbot and his wife, Judy, of Columbiana, and David C. Talbot of East Liverpool, along with numerous nieces and nephews and a special uncle, Fred Talbot of Senecaville, OH.

The family will receive friends at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Pastor Larry Rose of Northside Community Church will officiate at services to be held at the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. Thursday.

Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery, followed by a continued time of fellowship at the Dawson Family Center.
Those wishing to do so may make gifts in Bob’s memory to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, OH 44512 or to the Ohio Parkinson Foundation Northeast Region, P.O. Box 271, Tallmadge, OH 44278.
