Robert L. “Bob” Wires, 72
EAST LIVERPOOL – Robert L. “Bob” Wires, of Lisbon, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2019, at East Liverpool City Hospital. He was 72.
Born in Parkersburg, West Virginia, December 28, 1946, he was a son of Betty Yarnell Jackson of Parkersburg and the late Homer Wires.
For many years he worked at Ohio Brass. He enjoyed many things in life, including riding his motorcycle, boating, playing guitar, chess, wood carving and telling jokes and riddles.
Survivors include his wife, Vie Yoho Wires, at home. The couple married December 5, 1969. He also leaves a daughter, Helen Kennedy and her husband, Kirk, of Salem, as well as five grandchildren: Kristan, Billy, Jack, Zach and Lindsay, and three great-grandchildren: Hailey, Laney and Lincoln.
He also is survived by two sisters: Sherry Elschlager and Tami Jackson and three brothers, Jake, Junior and Steve Jackson.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service.
Burial will be at Lisbon Cemetery.
