Obituary for Russell Leroy "Russ" Jordan
Lisbon, Ohio- Russell L. Jordan, 81, of State Route #45, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2020 at 3:30 a.m. at his daughter’s residence in East Liverpool following a brief illness.
Born July 24, 1939 in Elkton, Ohio, he was a son of the late John and Viola Hayes Jordan. A lifetime area resident, Russ worked as a carpenter practicing in all fields of carpentry. He retired from the SH Bell Company in 2010. He was an avid golfer playing in many different leagues across this valley. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Russ is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Linda Elkins Jordan at home. He also leaves behind his loving children, daughters Robin Woodburn and her husband Michael of East Liverpool, and Stacy Brewer and her husband, William of Sebring, Ohio; and five sons, Russell L Jordan, Jr. and his wife Pam of Randleman, North Carolina, Richard Jordan of Salem, Ohio, Randall Jordan of Sea Grove, North Carolina, Ronald Jordan and his wife, Cathy of High Point, North Carolina and Robert Jordan of Sea Grove, North Carolina.
There are ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
In addition to his parents, Russ was preceded by one great-grandson and three brothers, Raymond Jordan, Edward Jordan and Clifford Jordan.
In accordance with Russ’ wishes there will be no public visitation or funeral service.
