Ruth E. Campbell, 77
WELLSVILLE – Ruth E. Campbell, of Wellsville, passed away at her home while surrounded by her family, Saturday morning, April 15, 2023. She was 77.
Born in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, May 16, 1945, she was a daughter of the late William and Ethel Jackson Steveick. She moved to this area in the 1970s when she and her husband were called to pastor the Free Methodist Church. A homemaker and mother, she was a member of the First Free Methodist Church on St. Clair Avenue.
She is survived by her husband, Richard L. “Rick” Campbell, at home. The couple married on February 12, 1965. She also leaves a son, Michael Campbell and his wife, Bonnie, of Wellsville, as well as three grandchildren: Alexis Terry and her husband, Jacob, Courtney Campbell, and Gavin Campbell and his companion, Hailey, and four great-grandchildren, Braxlee Terry, Zyair Terry, King Terry, and Carter Murphy.
She also leaves a sister, Rita Steveick of McKeesport.
A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home where friends may visit three hours prior to the service from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
