Ruth Ann “Peachie” Jones, 78

POLAND, OHIO – Ruth Ann “Peachie” Jones, of East Liverpool, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at the Hospice House following a lengthy illness. She was 78.

Born in Sistersville, June 25, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Loyal C. and Helen V. Daily White. A lifetime resident of this area, she was a member of the Trinity United Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd K. Jones, whom she married June 20, 1953. She was also preceded in death by a brother, James D. White.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandy Mattern and her fiancé, Bob Reed, Jr., of East Liverpool, and Cindy Vincent of Calcutta, as well as six grandchildren: Jennifer Norfolk and her husband, Scott, Karl Mattern and his wife, Emmalee, Floyd Mattern and his wife, Shannon, Joellen Miller and her husband, Matt, Sheena Montgomery and her husband, John, and Toby Mattern and his fiancé, Rachel Chamberlain; along with seven great-grandchildren: Isaac, Helen and Josephine Norfolk, Maye and Meya Miller, Annesley Montgomery and Ryker Mattern.

She also leaves a sister, Harriet J. Platt and her husband, Bill, of Stuart, Florida, and a brother, Larry C. White and his wife, Kathy, of Glenmoor.

Friends may visit Thursday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 8 p.m. Pastor Toby Mattern, grandson, will conduct a funeral service Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
