Obituary for Sandra Justine "Sandy" Elliott (Doughty)
East Liverpool, Ohio- Sandra Justine Elliott, 72, of 5th Avenue, LaCroft passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 4:08 p.m. at the East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born on May 10, 1947 at East Liverpool, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary Erwin Hackathorn Doughty.
A lifetime area resident and homemaker, she was a member of the LaCroft Church of the Nazarene.
Her husband, Kenneth W. “Bill” Elliott, Sr., whom she married July 5, 1967, survives at home. She also leaves behind two sons, Kenneth W. “Bill” Elliott, Jr. of LaCroft and Shane E. Elliott and his wife, Chasity of Calcutta, Ohio. There is one grandson, Erik M. Elliott of Calcutta.
In addition, she is survived by two brothers, Ron Hackathorn and his wife, Cheryl of Colorado and Michael Franklin of Massillon, Ohio.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by one sister, Patricia Elliott and one brother, Keith Hackathorn.
Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool. Pastor Carolyn Hardy of the church will officiate a funeral service at 1:30 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
Immediately following the service family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center.
