Obituary for Scott E. Cameron

Scott E. Cameron, 53

WELLSVILLE – Scott E. Cameron, of Wellsville, passed away Friday, February 3, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital. He was 53.

Born in East Liverpool, January 29, 1970, he was a son of the late Leonard D. and Darlene Wells Cameron. A resident of this area all his life, he worked as a hot pit loader and slag pot loader operator for TMS International at VM Star in Girard. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers local 66 in Pennsylvania. He was a member of the East Liverpool High School Class of 1988. He previously worked at Six Recycling for sixteen years.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing and riding his 4-wheeler and held membership at the Moose Lodge 122. Above all things in life, Scott loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Taylor Brickner and her husband, Jamie, of East Liverpool, and two sons, Scott Cameron of Wellsville, and Justin Cameron and his wife, Jordan, of Toronto. There are seven grandchildren: Michael, Taylor, Cheyenne, Cameron, Dayton, Caiden and Clayton, along with his best friend and mother of his children, Alicia Cameron of Salineville.

He also leaves behind a sister, Lynn Bowyer and her husband, Terry, of East Liverpool, and his best friends and “brothers” Rick Meeks of Wellsville and Donny Steed of East Liverpool.

Donny Steed will conduct a funeral service Monday at 4:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service. Burial will be at Locust Hill Cemetery.
