I just seen of Serla’s passing. She was a neighborhood friend to so many. We rode the bus together and spent many days at each other’s home. I loved her mom and dad. We had so much fun together laughing and just playing day and night. I was shocked to see of her passing she will surely be missed. I am one of the Cornell girls, we lived across the street, Calcutta Smithsferry. . I certainly would have been there to say goodbye to a dear childhood friend in which I have so many memories. She had a heart of gold and loved the Lord. I know she is in a better place. See you again some day my friend. Love and prayers to all her family.

I was shocked and saddened to learn of my Cousin's sudden death yesterday. Makes my heart break. I'm not sure that I've ever met anyone with a happier attitude in my lifetime (unless it's my other cousins Rhonda Brant, or Evan McDaniel). We always said that we truly believed you could smack any one of them in the face, and they'd still be smiling. Of course I certainly would not want to test that theory :-) Even when we were kids she ALWAYS had a smile on her face and always had the biggest laugh. Even last week when I talked to her on the phone she was laughing. As a kid I always really looked forward to our week long visits in Ohio with her and the family. I must say there was never a dull moment around her. Lots of memories come flooding back when I think of her as well as my other cousins too. I have the best cousins in the world!!! Makes me want to re-live my childhood all over again. Serla, myself, and Lola Ratterman were all the same age, so losing her has really struck a chord with me. I could've very easily been the first one to leave this world, but I know that God wanted to see her first, and I'm certain that she has all the angels laughing by now. She was truly a golden ray of sunshine that brightened this world and she will be missed. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with Richard and the rest of the family. Love you.
