Obituary for Sharon Jo Rowe
Sharon Gire Justice Rowe, 78
EAST PALESTINE, OHIO – Sharon Gire Justice Rowe, 78, of East Liverpool, longtime counselor and pastor’s wife, passed away Saturday morning, October 16, 2021, at the Christian House in East Palestine.
She was born in Spokane, WA on February 2, 1943. A 1961 graduate of Miami Trace High School, she furthered her education at Kentucky Christian College, graduating in 1966.
She was a pastor wife for 53 years, until her retirement. She began as a student of theology in Louisa, KY where she met her husband, Rev. Rob Rowe. After their marriage on June 6, 1964, she ministered alongside her husband at various churches, including New Manchester (WV) Christian Church, Beverly Hills Church of Christ in Huntington, WV, Laughlintown (PA) Christian Church, and Wintersville (OH) Church of Christ. Sharon was also a teacher’s aide with Hancock County Schools.
Preceding her in death were her husband Rev. Harry Robert “Rob” Rowe; father Oscar Edward Gire; mother Betty (Piatt) Justice; stepfather Nelson Justice, Sr.; sister Sally Gire Justice and brother Nelson Justice, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are three sons Harry Philip Rowe and his wife Julie of East Liverpool; Robert Aaron Rowe and his wife Renae of Tiffin, OH and Timothy Lee Rowe and his wife Eleni of Las Vegas, NV and six grandchildren Rob Rowe of Portland, OR, Cathy Rowe - Miller and her wife Kelsey of Sylvania, OH, Laura Rowe of East Liverpool, Astoria Rowe of Tiffin, OH, Atreyu Rowe of Tiffin, OH and Arala Rowe of Tiffin, OH.
A private family service will be held at the Dawson Funeral Home. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
