Obituary for Shirley L. Delposen (Pinkerton)

PITTSBURGH, PENNSYLVANIA – Shirley L. Delposen, 82, of East Liverpool passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA.

Shirley was born in East Liverpool, OH on July 27, 1940 a daughter of the late Hollie C. and Daisy Belle (Gamble) Pinkerton. She worked at Hall China for 12 years. She also worked at Quickies and Wesson Meat Market. Shirley enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was able to make her own patterns and even made clothing for her family. Shirley was a wonderful cook. She was musically inclined, being able to play many instruments including the accordion, piano, organ and bass fiddle.

Preceding Shirley in death were her sister Rebecca M. Ferguson; four brothers Hollie V., Donald G., Thomas R. and David E. Pinkerton and two sons-in-law William A. Franson and William J. “Bill” Davis.

Left to cherish her memory are her three daughters Janice S. Mundy and her husband John of Lisbon, Maria Kay Franson of Clearfield, PA and Tammy L. Hale and her husband Steve of New Stanton, PA; son Kenneth E. Delposen and his wife Terri of Calcutta; seven grandchildren Heidi Davis, Steven Hale and his wife Mel, Lindsay Johnson and her husband Tyson, Megan Shappee and her husband Nick, Tiffany Reuss and her husband Adam, Kenzie Delposen and Madisyn Hale; seven great grandchildren Kenley Hale, Evie Hale, Grady Johnson, Eliza Johnson, Gabriella Reuss, Gunner Shappee and Emmett Reuss; sister Martha E. Williams of Virginia; the father of her children Kenneth L. Delposen of Calcutta and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Saturday where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pastor Larry Rose of Northside Community Church will conduct a service at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park.
