Obituary for Shirley Johnson
Hampton, Virginia - Shirley Ann Johnson, 87, of Revere Drive passed away Monday, February 14th, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. at her residence.
Born February 21, 1934 in Newell, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late John and Delora Semian. A homemaker, Shirley had spent the last 7 years in Hampton, Virginia. Prior to that she and her late husband had lived in Leesburg, Florida for 20 years. She was Methodist by faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald K. Johnson, whom she married April 23rd, 1954, on April 14th, 2017. Survivors include two sons, Jeff Johnson and his wife, Vicki of East Liverpool, Ohio, and Joe Johnson and his wife, Jackie of Hampton, Virginia.
There are four grandchildren, Nick Johnson and his wife Erica, Katie Johnson, Ashley Virgin and her husband, Carson and Jonathon Stefanowicz and his wife, Kristen; and five great-grandchildren, Caiden, Emmabelle, Caroline, Juniper and Sullivan.
Besides her parents and her husband, Shirley was also preceded in death by her sister, Laverne May; and by her brother, Jack Semian.
Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio. Pastor Norm Eckert of the Beechwood Free Methodist Church will officiate a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Monday in the Chapel at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell, West Virginia.
Burial will be in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens.
