Obituary for Shirley Rogers (Warrick)
EAST PALESTINE, OHIO –Shirley M. Rogers, 89, of East Liverpool passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at the Covington Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in East Palestine.
Shirley was born in East Liverpool, OH on April 18, 1933 a daughter of the late William T. and Daisy (Smith) Warrick, Sr. She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School class of 1951. Shirley was a member of the ELHSAA. She was the secretary for the East Liverpool School District Superintendent for 20 years. Shirley was a flight instructor and office manager at Cardinal Aviation for eight years. She held a commercial pilot rating and was a glider plane instructor. Shirley was a member of the Lisbon Baptist Church and attended Glenmoor Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday school and VBS. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, painting and doing crafts.
Preceding Shirley in death were her husband Jack A. Rogers; sister Lois Thompson and two brothers Lucian Warrick and William T. Warrick, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory are her many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held at Riverview Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dawson Funeral Home.
