Obituary for Shirley E Rue (Anthony)
Hesperia, California- Shirley E. Rue, 81, of Victor Avenue passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019 at the Knolls West Hospital in Victorville, California following a lengthy illness.
Born December 13, 1937 at East Liverpool, Ohio she was a daughter of the late Roy and Elizabeth Briggs Anthony. A homemaker, she moved to California 40 years ago after living in East Liverpool.
She was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie Klein of Hesperia, and Charlene Andrews and her husband, Donovan of Hesperia; and six sons, Tom Van Fosson of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Jamie Van Fosson of Ohio, Tim Van Fosson and his wife, Marci of East Liverpool, Dennis Van Fosson of Kansas, Brian Van Fosson and his wife, Candie of Hesperia, and Billy Rue and his wife, Brenda of Temecula, California.
There are twenty-five grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and by two brothers.
A graveside service is planned for Saturday, July 13, 2019 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Norm Eckert of the Beechwood Free Methodist Church officiating at Spring Grove Cemetery.
