Obituary for Stephen Allan Wright

Stephen A. Wright, of Chester, passed away suddenly Monday, February 20, 2017 at his home. He was 40.

Born in East Liverpool, March 5, 1976, he was a son of Sandy K. Smith Wright and the late Randy Lee Wright.

He was a member of the Oak Glen High School Class of 1994. Along with his father, he worked with Thoroughbred Horses where he was associated with several area stables. He most recently worked at Infront Training Center in Newell. Steve enjoyed bowling, golfing and swimming, but above all things he loved to spend time with his daughter.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Allahna Leigh Wright of Salem, Ohio. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Barbara Smith of Lisbon, as well as several aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Mark L. Wright, four cousins: Freddie Robinson, Brett Wright, Brian Wright and Nicole Wright, as well as his paternal grandparents, Charles and Vivian Wright, his maternal grandfather, Kelly T. Smith, Sr., and several aunts and uncles.

Friends may visit Friday afternoon and evening at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 8 p.m. Pastor Gregory Pennington will conduct a funeral service Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery.

Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
